Default How do I get effect of newspaper cutting - jagged edges

In a publisher document I want to include what looks like a newspaper cutting
roughly torn out of a newspaper, with jagged edges and a shadow. Border art
only seems to have regular borders.

Any ide how to get this effect?

Might look at clipart
http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/...0019701033#288

Try your hand at drawing an irregular frame with the drawing tools, add a
shadow. BorderArt does have a torn edge border.

You could scan an actual newspaper clipping.

And if you have MSPicture It! or MSDigital Image
....the Designer Edges called, Wavy Torn Paper
or Rough-Edged Paper might be what you are
looking for.

I use SnagIt to copy a region of the desktop to the clipboard. Once copied,
SnagIt allows for many effects including Drop Shadow Edge, Fade Edge, Torn
Edge, Wave Edge, Saw Edge, Sharktooth Edge and Beveled Edge. You can see
examples at http://www.myscacc.org/newsletters.htm There is two examples on
the page and in several of the recent Newsletters starting on page 3. SnagIt
is available from http://www.techsmith.com

Chuck,

SnagIt looks way cool

But I like free

Guess personally I'll just make such things from scratch...

(I'm book marking the site/program anyway cause it does look neat)

It is way cool - and it's on $40 (I think). That's a nominal cost for this
package. It even has a trial period. Download it and have some fun.
