one to many in continuous forms
i have a form that is based on following:
select * from los_service right join los_service_entry on los_service.id = los_service_entry.los_service_id I want to show continuous and give the user the ability to change records in los_service_entry table and add records to same table. A subform will not work because user wants all records to show. thanks. |

Seeker,
Try... SELECT los_service_entry.* FROM los_service RIGHT JOIN los_service_entry ON los_service.id = los_service_entry.los_service_id; -- Gina Whipp "I feel I have been denied critical, need to know, information!" - Tremors II http://www.regina-whipp.com/index_files/TipList.htm "seeker" wrote in message ... i have a form that is based on following: select * from los_service right join los_service_entry on los_service.id = los_service_entry.los_service_id I want to show continuous and give the user the ability to change records in los_service_entry table and add records to same table. If you are trying to put a subform into a continuous form, it cannot be done
directly, at least not in Access 2003 and earlier (I assume Access 2007 is ths same, but I don't know for sure). However, there are ways to achieve an approximation of that effect. Several options are shown he http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKal...icles/Grid.htm "seeker" wrote in message ... Thanks. I need data from the other table to show on the form. I don't know what the OTHER table is then. I only see two table in the
example you provided. Perhaps Bruce's answer is more what you need??? -- Gina Whipp "I feel I have been denied critical, need to know, information!" - Tremors II http://www.regina-whipp.com/index_files/TipList.htm "seeker" wrote in message ...
