Default Showing header and footer

I have recently noticed that all my Word documents, and templates, no longer
show the header and footer. I am almost sure that this has occured shortly
after running a windows update. Has anyone else encountered this, and found a
resolve? I cannot find anything in the Tools menu to bring back these spaces
above and below my text.

Thank you Jay Freedman...and sorry to waste your time on what now seems to
have been a simple problem.

You're welcome. It's simple only when you already know what's happening.
