Default if statement results

How can I make an "if" statement return an empty cell? (Not just a ""). A
chart based on those cells keeps giving me zero values

Default if statement results

Select iif(Date() dtExpires, null, "Subscription expired") as Expiration,
CustomerID
from Subscriptions;
