Line Spacing Problem

Can the MS Word Paragraph Dialogue be used to apply 1.5 spacing format
between paragraphs while maintaining single line spacing format on the
paragraph text?

I am trying to increase the paragraph spacing without changing the text line
spacing.

I am using Windows & Word 2000

Space between paragraphs is done using Format--Paragraph and entering space
before and after. If you wanted 1.5 in between 12-point text, I would say 9
before and 9 after would about do it.

No, the equivalent of 1.5-line spacing is 6 pts before OR after.

Thanks for the tips, on receiving Anne's reply and experimenting a little I
found
that using 3pts before and after (which is similar to Suzanne's suggestion)
worked fine for what I needed.
