Default Last time entry in limited column

My last time on the timesheet will always equal the last time out in the next column. I can't use the standard formulas I've found here because they refer to an entire column which doesn't work because the last value in the TIME OUT column is my final time home, not my final time out of a job. I need A40 to equal the last entry of C1439 (merged column)

nevermind, just had to change the formula to ignore the merged cells and go with the first column only...
