Protect cell but allow copy command?
"Jay" wrote: Yes, go to the cell right click and select format cells from the pop-up menu. Then go the very last right tab and place a check mark in locked and hidden check boxes, click OK. Then go back to the main sheet and select protection from the "Tools" menu, there, select "Protect Worksheet". Add a password of your choice and that should do it. However, since this is still Excel, if the user(s) copies and pastes across many columns or rows, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, they may still be able to blow out your formulas, be careful to instruct them of the dangers of doing that! Hope this helps! Is there a way to protect the column and allow them to copy but not change the cells? Thanks, Carole O |
