Default Calendar Question

I'm trying to figure a good way to keep a simple calendar and share it with
an associate. Of course, I am OE at home, and wondered if I could run
Outlook without it messing with OE? Help?? I decided to stick with OE
because I wasn't certain how to do NG in Outlook. Any suggestions?

You can certainly run the two together - in fact if you use Outlook for
email, and go to the News menu option, it actually uses Outlook Express in
Outlook Newsreader mode.

The only thing you have to watch out for is that Outlook tries to take over
as the default mail client. Just say no. OE may also prompt you again
after you use Outlook, and tell OE yes.

If it is Outlook 98 or later you should be able to run both, but installing
Outlook will probably reset the default email client in which case you
should go to Start | Run and run this line:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg

The install of OL might also enable sharing with Address Book. If that's
the case and OE is to remain the default Mail Client, disable it ASAP.
