Default export and save my newsgroup

Hi all,
how to export all of my newsgroup so that i can import them when i
reinstall my OS?

Newsgroups neither Export, nor Import. You can however save
your newsgroup settings. ToolsAccountsNewsExport. Send it
to a folder to copy to CD. Copy the CD to your HDD after you
reinstall and Import from there. You will have to subscribe
to the newsgroups again, but at least the account will
already be set up.

You can do a complete transfer by backing up the registry keys and the
message files. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6

When you get to the new system, delete the Identities registry key and then
merge the one you exported from the other system.

so you mean i need to keep the newsgroup address in my mind? or the backup
will also keep all of my newsgroup address, the only thing is re-subscribe
it?

Hi steve,
My msg is not clear. I would only like to backup my newsgroup links. and
leave those newsgroup msg alone.
are there any short cut to do this?

If you save the settings, when you restore them,
msnews.microsoft.com will appear in the folder tree, but you
will have to subscribe to each particular group again.
