How to view my ISP news server remotely?
I have tried adding my ISP's news server to veiw while at work. I've
entered in my user name and pass but it never works. I get an authorization error. Does any one have suggestions on this? Also, is there a good program/website for viewing news groups remotely? Please don't suggest Google groups. Thanks, Brett |

They would be the logical place to ask. |

One of two things is likely happening:
1) Your company network administrator does not allow access to external newsgroups. Check with them to see if that is the case 2) Your ISP does not allow access to their news server unless you are directly connected via their service. Check with your ISP to see if this is the case. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Brett" wrote in message ... .... is there a good program/website for viewing news groups remotely? Which newsgroups? Microsoft newsgroups can all be viewed through their web interface to newsgroups via links in Communities pages called portals. Here is one for IE6 and OE6 newsgroups: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...ault.mspx#EEAA --- |
