Default MS Outlook 2007

My boss is a bit paranoid and would like me to send him an email when I log
in to my workstation and an email before I clock out.

Is it possible to use macros to script the logon part, say,

Send email when I logon to the computer for the first time during the day.

Send email when I log out of the computer at the end of the day, usually
between 17:30 and 18:00.

Any ideas?
