In K1 I typed "red" and in K2 I typed "green"
I selected A1:Q2 With Condition Formatting I used: Formula is =$K1="red" and set font colour to red Now all the text in row 1 is red but not in row 2 until I change K2 to "red" - of course any word can be used (like "Labour") Hope this is what was wanted best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email "Aaron Hodson (Coversure)" wrote in message ...
