Print Macro Definitions
I am using the PrintOut Action in my macro because I need to print more than
1 copy of a report BUT I do not want the Users to have to deal with Print Macro Definition window. How can I disable it? TIA "LGropel" wrote: aaaaahhh!!! That makes sense. I'll give that a try and let you know. Thanks a ton !! "Steve Schapel" wrote: LGropel, There is no need for the PrintOut action in your macro. The OpenReport action prints the report. What appears to be happening is that you are printing the report, via the OpenReport action in the macro, following which the report is closed, following which the PrintOut action is applied to the currently active object, which apparently is the macro. Just remove the PrintOut action form the macro. -- Steve Schapel, Microsoft Access MVP LGropel wrote: I have created a report. Then I created a macro where the first command is to open the report. The second command is the "Print Out" command. The report prints as expected. However, when the printing is complete, a dialog box pops up. The title for the dialog box is "Print Macro Definition". Within this dialog box is a frame titled "Include For Macro". The frame then contains three options; Properties, Actions and Arguments, and Permissions by User and Group. My ultimate goal here is to have the Windows scheduler to open Access, execute a macro to print a report, and then shut down Access. It appears that Access won't shut down because the "PrintOut" command will not complete until the dialog box is dealt with. |

You have to use the OpenReport (in Preview), then PrintOut. The Print Macro Definition window opens because you haven't opened the object (Report) to print.

Thanks, it worked
And after giving it some thought Print Preview rather than Print (the default) makes sense before using the PrintOut action "Bob Miller" wrote: You have to use the OpenReport (in Preview), then PrintOut.
