SORTING ALPHA NUMERICALLY
Please don't SHOUT.
You will need to convert the table to text using a tab to separate the entry in each cell, then use a wildcard replace to replace the space before the street number with a tab, the convert back to a table which should now have the street numbers in a column by themselves so that you can sort by the street and then by the number in the street. If you are not familiar with Wildcard searching and replacing, see the article “Finding and replacing characters using wildcards” at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/UsingWildcards.htm -- Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis. Hope this helps Doug Robbins - Word MVP "BILL WILLIAMS" wrote in message ...
