Default Upgrading to 2007

Hi,

If I upgrade my Office 2000 to office 2007 will I lose all my email in the
Outlook 2000 client or will it (setup of 2007) transfer it?

Thaks
Steve

No, it should recognize the .pst file - however, having said that, you would
do well to create a new unicode .pst file that can hold up to 20 gigs of
data without corruption, unlike the 2000 version which will corrupt at about
1.87 gigs.

Hi,

I just went throught this with Office 2000 - 2007.

When I ran the setup files for 2007, I remember using the custom option
because Outlook wasn't checked off as a default.

But here's what I did first:

1.) Make sure no anti-spyware is running especially Webroot's spysweeper.
You may want to disable anti-virus also.

2.) Obviosly make backups, but definitly make a PST file from Outlook if or
if you aren't using Exchange.

3.) Run the setup.

4.) If everything works right, your Outlook files will be imported into 2007
and the rest should work. I never had to use the PST files but it's a good
precaution

Thanks
Steve
