I am creating a newsletter, and I want to use different templates for
different pages within the same newsletter. How do I do this? When I try,
it applies the same template to all of the pages within the newsletter.

You'll have to do some copy/paste operations for two different templates to
work. Make a note of the color scheme before you paste, usually the color scheme
does not come along when you paste.
It will be the same for the post you made about the ad. Group all the objects in
the ad, copy/paste.
