Default Possibility to color-code mail folders in Outlook

I strongly agree! I've wanted colored folders since using a Mac 15 years
ago.

One suggestion: Sometimes I mark an item in a folder as "unread" and the
folder becomes BOLD. It's easier to find a folder if only a few that I'm
currently using a lot are BOLD. I also use ALL CAPS for some folders so that
they stand out. This work-around isn't as great as your suggestion would be,
but it does help.

I would like to see a feature in Outlook where I can change mail folder text
color and font properties. Enabling color-coded folders and user-defined
folder appearance would help building a more effective and personalized
folder structure, especially when you have 100+ folders to scroll and move
between. The mail folder icons could also be made user-definable for
ultimate personalization.

I agree - I have been searching for this function somewhere. They included
the color-coding options for the categories - need to extend that to the
folders. I am a very visual person and use icons and colors a lot to
streamline.

Thanks for these suggestions, and reading this thread decreases my
frustration that this option does not exist, at least I am not alone! It is
unbelievable to me that this didn't get added to Outlook 2007 -- dare we hope
for 2010? Like someone else in this thread, I have been wanting this option
for over 10 years!

There are so many fancy features in Outlook that just don't fit into my way
of working -- but color coding the folders would make a WORLD of difference
to me!!!

Default Possibility to color-code mail folders in Outlook

Nope - Sorry Kids- I am using outlook 2010 (not yet released) and it STILL
doesnt have the color code feature. I am in sales and create a separate
folder for each client to store emails and documents. When integrating
Outlook with Microsoft CRM, i have what seems like THOUSANDS of folders to
scroll through. My left nav pane looks like a circus becasue the only thing i
can do to try to draw attention to the folder label i am looking for is to
add symbols or CAPS the title. Its rediculous looking. And still doesnt help
all that much. I NEED COLORS! I am PRAYING Microsoft adds the ability to
color the Text, or highlight the text for a folder name so i can find some
peace and organization. Its not happening in Outlook 2010, maybe by 2015
Microsoft will figure out how to use the tools of "word" to highlight the
title.
Grrrrrrr....

Outlook 2010 won't do that, either.
