Visio 2003 Shape - cannot change height
I have taken ownership of a Visio drawing that I did not create. There is a
very large rectangular box with text in it. When I type, the text will autofit in height. When I delete text, the box will autofit in height. I can manually drag a handle to make the box wider, but I cannot manually make it taller with the handles. I checked Format/Protection, and nothing is checked. This same situation is happening with this object using Visio 2007. Any suggestions to allow me to manually make the box taller?? Thanks. |

The height of the shape is being calculated and set from the height of the shape's text. You could just add some empty lines above and below the text to make the box larger. Or menu Format - Behavior and ensure the Show shape handles is ticked Now menu Window - Show shapesheet and in the height cell enter the required height. -- Regards, Paul Herber, Sandrila Ltd.
