Hi QuickDraw,

word 2000
is it possible to format the merged fields into title case?
if so how?

Should be, yes. Example:

{ Mergefield Title \* Caps }

Use Alt+F9 to turn the field codes on/off so that you can
edit them. Press F9 or move to a different record to view the
result of the change.

So can we assume that you tried e.g.

{ MERGEFIELD myfield \*Caps }

instead of

{ MERGEFIELD myfield }

?

If so, what went wrong? was the formatting unchanged? DId you remove any
\*Mergeformat or \*Charformat switches?

And for any other such switches, look up in your help
directory under "field switches"
