At the risk of sounding like a broken record, do you encounter this
problem when your correspondent, whom you said is using MS Outlook,
sends in Plain Text formatting?

I tried renamong it and when I double clicked on it opened in Note
Pad
just like before. So if you can help me repair my EML files I would
appreciate it. I just don't understand why this is the only person
who sends
me email that I have any trouble opening. I never did before and she
says
she hasn't changed anything with her system.
Thanks for your time as I really do appreciate all of your effort.

I would like to thank everyone for their help on this problem. It is finally
resolved. Mike finally figured it out. Under My Computer, Tools, Folder
Options, I clicked on the View tab and we found that the Hide Extensions for
Known File Types checked he had me uncheck it and click apply and then OK.
Now after I change the file to a EML file I can see it. Thanks Again Herb

So what was happening is that they got a Message5.txt attachment instead
of an EML file (due to the screwy forwarding). They were saving it as I
had instructed but is saved as Message5 (with the .txt hidden). When
they renamed it with the .eml extension, it actually became
Message5.eml.txt with the .txt hidden so it appeared to be Message5.eml
but was still really a text file so that it opened in Notepad rather
than OE.
