Default Printing from a Vision file saved as a web page

I am using Visio 2003 SP2 with a multi-page Visio file. From within Visio,
each page prints just fine. After I save the file as a web page, using VML as
the output format, and view it in MSIE 6.0, it also looks fine - I can pan &
zoom, &etc. BUT -- if I then try to print any of the pages from within the
browser, all I get at the printer is a cut-off section of the overall page -
it never produces a full-page print out showing all org chart boxes. At most,
i seem to get just the left-half of the chart page. :-(

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong? Thanks...

Hello danno,

Printing from browsers can always be tricky particularly when frames are
involved (as is the case with the Save As Web output). Try the following
(it works in IE8 and I think I remember similar functionality in IE6):

Right click in the main drawing area and select 'Print Preview'

In the resulting window, there's a 'Select content' drop down (Alt+F) and
choose 'Only the selected frame'

This should give the main drawing frame.

Let me know how you get on.

Best regards

John

Another option is to save the Visio file as a pdf, then include a hyperlink
on your Visio file to open the pdf
