Default How do I convert an image of a visio diagram to visio format?

I'm using Microsoft Office Visio 2007 (12.0.6423.1000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)
The image is a visio drawing from a word document (described as a picture in
visio)

Unfortunately there is no automated way to convert a bitmap to a visio
document, it would have to be recreated. Where metafiles can be imported,
the visio smarts are also not there (although the image may be edited).

This is a result of a choice whether to include a Visio drawing in Word (or
other software) as a Visio drawing, in which it is editable in Visio
(provided Visio is on that machine, of course), or as a Picture, in which
case it is not editable. The latter is the situation you describe. It
generally gives a smaller Word (or whatever) filesize.

All you can do is contact to author of the Visio drawing.
