Default Dropdown list in table

Is there a way to put a dropdown list in a table in a template without
protecting the section? Currently I have the sections with the tables
protected but that is causing issues in other areas; i.e., you have to
unprotect to use bookmarks and edit the header/footer. This is challenging
for those who don't use Word very often.

I checked Greg's page and only saw the dynamically linked dropdowns which I
don't need.

Thanks,

If you need free editing, then a protected form is unlikely to be a suitable
vehicle.

What is it that you need to do with the bookmarks and header/footer that
requires the form to be unprotected?

Investigate userforms instead. For the basics, see Word MVP FAQ - Userforms

It's a Functional Spec document. Bookmarks need to be created for hyperlinks
to error codes, etc. Also, header/footer changes based on the module.

I will look at the links you gave.
