Remove text
In 07, how do I remove text from a cell. Currently reads "Phone:
123-123-1234" and would like to remove the "Phone:" part. I tried =RIGHT(M2,14) but some have extensions. |

Assuming no space after the colon, use =mid(M2,7,25) to get only the phone number. change the 7 to an 8 if there is a space after the colon -- hope to help, cm "Tim" wrote: In 07, how do I remove text from a cell. Try Text to Column..in Office 2007 - - Insert a new blank column after the column with phone numbers - Select the entire column containing the phone numbers - press Alt + D + E - Delimited - Other - Colon ( - Finish This will remove the word phone from the column.
