Record size is too large
See responses in .TablesdbDesign
If you decide that you want to post questions to multiple newsgroups, you should post just one message, directed to all the newsgroups. (david) "WayneM" wrote in message ... I am using VB6 with Access and am trying to transfer a very wide table from SQL Server to Access. It has a record size of about 6000 characters and when I update it in VB I get an 'Record size is too large' error. I realize that the maximum size of Access table is 2000 bytes, but if I use the Import/Export tool in SQL Server, I can transfer data from this large SQL Server table to Access and everything works fine. So using the large table is fine, it is just an updating problem. Creating the large table is also no problem. I am assuming it is a driver issue. Any ideas on how to get around this, besides using MSDE? Thanks in advance, WayneM |
