Date format with Excel merge...tried previous directions
In an attempt at a mail merge that simply consists of 4 columns of data from Excel to Word, the phone number format is lost (but only on some!) I've tried the previous directions of Mailmerge phone\#'(000) 000-0000' to no avail...any other suggestions?

Date format with Excel merge...tried previous directions
Hi =?Utf-8?B?SGVhdGhlcg==?=,
In an attempt at a mail merge that simply consists of 4 columns of data from Excel to Word, the phone number format is lost (but only on some!) I've tried the previous directions of Mailmerge phone\#'(000) 000-0000' to no avail...any other suggestions? You should *ALWAYS* include the version of Word you're working with in help requests. Especially for mail merge, as so much changed going into Word 2002... If you tried exactly what you posted in your problem description, it's no wonder you'd have problems. For one thing, necessary spaces are missing. And the field name is incorrect. Based on your example, it should look more like { Mergefield Phone \# "(000) 000'-'0000" } If that's still not working, then please describe HOW it's not working.
