Default Extra symbol printed

I am creating a brochure. When I print the brochure there is a large
circle/elipse that prints over text, however it CANNOT be seen on the screen.
I have tried retyping the text and moving the text box to see if there is
anything behind it. Neither works. It appears to stay in the same place
when I add additional text. It is only on one page of a 40 page layout.
Any ideas?

What version Publisher?
When you had objects in the scratch area in earlier versions they would
print. The solution would be to drag the objects either to the top or bottom
of the publication.
Look at the Master Page too.
