Default Won't Open Files

Recently my Outlook stopped opening files that are
attached to emails. I get the error message that "the
system cannot find the specified file", (and it DOES open
the application (like excel, word, etc.)). If I open the
email, and "save" the file, I can then open it, but it is
not allowing me to simply click on the file from Outlook
to open it.

Hi jeff,

IMPORTANT: This article contains information about editing the registry.
Before you edit the registry, you should first make a backup copy of the
registry files (System.dat and User.dat). Both are hidden files in the
Windows folder.
IMPORTANT: This article contains information about modifying the registry.
Before you modify the registry, make sure to back it up and make sure that
you understand how to restore the registry if a problem occurs. For
information about how to back up, restore, and edit the registry, click the

Description of the Microsoft Windows Registry

Symptom:
====================
Error: The system cannot find the file specified.

Resolution
==========

This problem is occurring because a particular key in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\User
Shell
Folders\Cache

is set to point to a path that did not exist:

\\IN3000\VOL1\USERS\EFAGAN\Temporary Internet Files (there was no
\\IN3000\VOL1\USERS\EFAGAN folder that we could find)

Change this value to the more usual value:

%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

Please let me know has this helped You...
Thank You...
Raghu...
