Word should allow multiple copy and paste saves at one time

Hello

My name is Jason Staniforth and I have an idea for Microsoft word use
improvement.

I find that when copy and pasting text or information, sometimes I want text
sections and pictures that are spread over the page and I don’t want to copy
the boarder or the adverts in between.

To overcome this, I feel that allowing a method to copy and save small
sections quickly and easily would greatly benefit people that are doing
research or copying addresses names and numbers.

Something similar to highlighting the selected section, holding Ctrl and C
and then pressing 1. Then selecting the next item and holding Ctrl and C and
pressing 2. Then repeat the process from 1 to 0.

To past would be the same way by holding Ctrl and V and then flicking
through the numbers 1 to 0 show you what bit has been copied so that you
don’t have to remember what number copied which part, then let go of Ctrl and
V and the digit once you have selected the right copied section.

I would like your feedback if possible.

Note that the ability to select text discontinuously was introduced in Word
2002 (or perhaps Word 2003?), so it wasn't possible when you started using
Word. :-)

I know it was no later than Word 2002 and may even have been earlier. I
don't often use the feature, and in fact it more often gets in my way when I
go to use Ctrl+click to select a sentence and find that it doesn't work
because I already have text selected elsewhere.

It wasn't possible in Word 2000, so it must have been Word 2002 then.

I have to admit I don't really use the feature either.

I am not sure the OP is talking about copying from a Word document as he
says that he does not "want to copy the boarder or the adverts in between"

Well, sounds not everyone here express the same topic. :-)

The subject (see above, I changed the subject) is clearly expressed what we
should say.

I agree with Suzanne S. The topic is gonig to suggest select discontinuous
part while hold ctrl, thus, word could allow copy multiple discontinuous
selections to paste board.

Jay's point is by design, which is going to mark copy text as a numeric
flag, then people could easily paste it by typing the number. However, it has
nothing to do with the subject. Another reason, it has already implemented.
It will record the lastest dozen copy text in paste board.
