I am trying to send a Word 2002 document (4 pages, with
clip art & text boxes), but when the recipient opens the
document, all the formatting is gone & the text boxes are
in different locations. Any suggestions on the problem?

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm
and use PDF format for sending documents. There are free software packages
available to do this.
