Duplicate e-mail (again) Outlook 2002 SP3
Brian, I read that article and I feel certain it is our anti-virus software.
I am not convinced though that we can disable the intergration with outlook. The majority of viruses we have received have been thru e-mails and Norton Anti-Virus has detected and stopped them. Is this "on-access-scanner" part of the Outlook program? "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: " . com wrote in message ... We are receiving duplicate e-mails. Outlook 2002 SP3. The on-access scanner is part of your AV program. It's a service that runs all the time and scans each file on your hard drive as you open them. In order to execute a program with virus, it must be on your hard drive first, so the on-access scanner will catch it then. You don't need to scan e-mail. You shouldn't be opening attachments in e-mail anyway. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
