Default Outlook Save Password function not workiing

After adding a second Mail Account, the "Save Password in
Your password list fails. The password is saved but the
function of "saving the password" fails. It keeps asking.

Am using Outlook 2002 updated to SP3.

I have reentered the mail accounts from scratch. Still
have the same symptoms.

Thanks and regards

Hi rgraffius,

I am not sure whether you have tried this steps...
Update Outlook with your new e-mail account password

If your Internet service provider (ISP) (ISP: A business that provides
access to the Internet for such things as electronic mail, chat rooms, or
use of the World Wide Web. Some ISPs are multinational, offering access in
many locations, while others are limited to a specific region.) has given
you a new password for an existing e-mail account, you must update
Microsoft Outlook with the new password.

On the Tools menu, click E-mail accounts.
Select View or changes existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
Select the POP3 (POP3: A common protocol that is used to retrieve e-mail
messages from an Internet e-mail server.), IMAP (IMAP (Internet Message
Access Protocol): Unlike Internet e-mail protocols such as POP3, IMAP
creates folders on a server to store/organize messages for retrieval by
other computers. You can read message headers only and select which
messages to download.), or HTTP (HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol):
Protocol that is used when you access Web pages from the Internet. Outlook
uses HTTP as an e-mail protocol.) e-mail account that you want to update
with a new password, and then click Change.
In the Password box, type your new password, and then click Next.
Click Finish.
Note Your e-mail account password is separate from the password used to
dial your ISP.
