Default Conditional Format and "n/a"

Hi Marca
enter the following formula as conditional format:
=(F6C6)*(ISNUMBER(F6))

Hello, group--

Can someone please tell me how I can conditionally format cell F6 if
it is later than the date in cell C6.
HOWEVER, this would be copied down column F and some cells have "n/a"
(sans quotes) in them as dates do not apply to the particular line
item.

I got so far as to CF the greater than date portion but am stumped
because all the N/A's are now bright red when they shouldn't have CF
at all.

Any words of wisdom would be most welcome!
Thanks!

Can I throw one more condition into this mix?
IF a cell (say, H17) is BLANK but the target date (say, C17) has passed, can the cell be highlighted coupled with the previous condition?

That is, if C17 = 4/9/04 and cell H17 is still not entered AT ALL, then the cell is Past DUE and I would like to highlight these instances as well.

Thanks for your continued help!!

Hi
not sure I understood you correctly but try
=((F6C6)*(ISNUMBER(F6)))+((F6C6)*(H6=""))

Sorry, I didn't explain myself very clearly.
Please let me try again.
There should be two separate CF:

condition 1--IF the date in cell C6 is earlier than today (meaning the event is due or PAST DUE), then the cell should be highlighted.
ex. C6 = 4/9/04 and cell F6 still does not have a completion date entered, then the cell (F6) would turn blue.

condition 2--as you had provided: =(F6C6)*(ISNUMBER(F6))

As you can see, I am missing the formula for condition 1. And, can this new condition just be entered as condition 2 or does the hierarchy have to change for them to work together?

I hope this is clearer because I really can use your help, please.
