Activating Office Home/Student
It looks as though this is a common problem -- sorry to post again but I did
not find a similar situation. I purchased a new HP computer 60 days ago which did not have Office installed. I immediately downloaded a trial version of the Home/Student version, planning to convert if I liked it. I never received a pop-up notice that I was running out of time -- just today it started asking me to convert. I did purchase the conversion, downloaded it, and started set-up. I was able to enter the activation code and got to the first window -- "Configuration Progress". All three times I attempted to activate, this window stopped with the progress bar at about 30%. The longest I let it run was 45 minutes. I've tried from Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the same result. I have Norton installed but I did 'allow' the download when asked. Help -- and thanks! |

If you downloaded the setup file for H&S you have to uninstall the trial &
reboot your PC prior to installing "Stephanie S" wrote in message ... It looks as though this is a common problem -- sorry to post again but I did not find a similar situation.
