I have Outlook 2000 SR-1. I'm trying to set up separate accounts for three members of my family. so far, I can send and receive email. When I try to send email to 'Fred', it ends up in my mail box. I'd like to have separate accounts.
Obviously, I'm doing something wrong. Diane |

You must post your mail support mode for us to answer.

Yup. That's the one.
So if that's your mode, you need to setup multiple MAPI profiles he Control Panel Mail applet. Make sure that each profile uses a different PST file (the file associated with the Personal Folder service) -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Diane" wrote in message ... Thanks, Great - That worked but the second profille in Outlook is not receiving mail. The mail is going to the old Outlook express file. Now what?

Why is OE in this picture?
Is the mail account in the second profile configured correctly? Can't you just remove the mail account from OE? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Diane" wrote in message ... We started out with OE and then went to Outlook. How should the second account be configured? Do you mean incoming mail POP3 and outgoing mail SMTTP? In internet options, I changed email to Outlook. Is there something else I should have done?

If your email account were configured exactly the same in the second profile
as it is in the first, it would work the same. Are you talking about two Outlook profiles on the same Windows logon, or two separate Windows Logons? -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Diane" wrote in message ... Then if you configured them the same they would work the same. Check your
settings. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ...
