Formula cell references when sorting values in another worksheet
Hi
AFAIK there's no chance to achieve this. Neither with using relative or absolute references. Formulas are only attached to cells and not to values. So then you sort one list the formulas would not change -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany U4ik wrote: Formula cell references when sorting values in another worksheet: I have a formula that uses values from another worksheet. I need to sort that other worksheet numerous ways to find specific data. Once I have found and arranged the necessary data together I am creating a formula (being careful not to use ranges, but individual cell addresses) so that when I sort the list some other way, the formula will adjust accordingly (basically follow the "values" to where ever they may have moved to). I am very familar with absolute and relative cell references, and they seem to have no effect on the values in the other worksheet. I have carefully studied help, FAQ's and the like to no avail, PLEASE HELP! |
