Default what is a null disc

I'm trying to install Office for MAC 2008 and it tells me to insert a "Null"
disc. What does that mean

Default what is a null disc

It means that you need to insert the correct CD in the drive. If you are using a
CD meant for a PC then this can't work on a MAC and vice versa.

It also means that the CD you are using is not recognized by your system. For
example, if you try to use a DVD in a system that has a CD drive then you get
this error message.

You need to establish whether the CD you are using is NOT faulty otherwise you
will struggle. Have you got another MAC system to test your CD?
