I'm trying to install Office for MAC 2008 and it tells me to insert a "Null"

It means that you need to insert the correct CD in the drive. If you are using a
CD meant for a PC then this can't work on a MAC and vice versa. It also means that the CD you are using is not recognized by your system. For example, if you try to use a DVD in a system that has a CD drive then you get this error message. You need to establish whether the CD you are using is NOT faulty otherwise you will struggle.
