Have to reinstall XP, how do I get a US CD of Office 2007?

I bought a computer when I was living overseas. I also bought licenses of
Office 2007 for it and a laptop. The computer died shortly before I moved
back to the US. I've rebuilt the computer around the old C drive. However, XP
SP3 is causing problems with drivers. The solution, people tell me, is to
reinstall XP, upgrade drivers and then add the Service Packs.

The problem is that my current licenses of Office are Hebrew versions with
English packs added to them. The original install was done by the OEM. I
don't know enough Hebrew to reinstall Office from those CDs. Is there some
way I can get an English Language CD or download of Office so that I can
reinstall it?

Have you visited your Laptop site and installed drivers from there?
(Or from the manufacturer of your current PC)
Do not use winupdate for drivers
And if you actually are using your old C drive on a new PC you would need to
repair your Win installation using the winxp disk, however since winxp was
provided for your old sys its highly likely that it is tied to that Laptop
and wont repair, theres also the issue of it being an OEM installation,
which means the licence died with the Laptop

Since your version of Office 2007 was a OEM installation its not valied on
your new PC
An OEM version lives & dies on the PC it was supplied with.
If indeed you have a new PC then all your licences died with the old PC

? I was just pointing out why I need to reinstall Office, the drive issue is
another thread on another newsgroup. That I haven't had any good answers on
that either is a separate issue.

This post was specifically about how to get an English copy of MS Office
2007 for someone who already has a valid license but a foreign language CD.
any ideas on that one?

A localized foreign language version of Windows and an English language version of Windows are two separate copies of Windows. You don't get to convert one into the other for free.

1) You have an OEM Version of Office;
Its not licensed for your new PC, it died with your old Laptop

2) You have an OEM version of winxp, supplied with your dead Laptop its not
transferable to your new PC

3) You cannot move a boot drive to a new PC, and boot from that drive,
unless its a retail version of WinXP, and as a minimum conduct a repair
installation of Win using the winxp disk

4) Winxp is not publically available to download

5) Its not a separate issue

If you want to install either of the above on your new built PC you need to
go and buy WinXP & Office 2007

Nope. Bought two copies, one for each machine. When I rebuilt the desktop, I
was able to activate the product without a problem, so it is a valid license.

drive into a new box, run repair and get my software going far enough to have
the difficulties I described. And to think I did all that before I ever
posted, you should have figured that out by the state the system was in, yet
you still felt the need to post this.

And, of course, I never asked for a WinXP download. I was asked for a copy
of MS Office. You do realize there's a difference between an application and
an operating system, don't you?

Neither your posts in this or the other group mentioned you had purchased
either Office or Win separately
In fact you stated Office was supplied with the Laptop / installed by the
OEM, you further stated you had installed the old boot drive in the new
build PC and where having no end of driver problems, which were unresolved

All CDs are identical in every language. The only difference is that when you
install a CD, the default language is the language of your system. Therefore, if
you setup your new system under various US time zones, you will get US English as
the default language.

However, you can download trial versions from Microsoft Website and in most cases
your serial key will work. Activation may be a problem but you can use the phone
method to activate your copy of Office.
