Default What does the black clock mean on the appt?

There is a black clock at the beginning and end of appts. in the month view
of my calendar. It is random only on some appt. and it extends my appt back
a day and sometimes forward a day. Any ideas?

That's just the show times as clock feature and it should be on all timed
appointments. If you see it on all day events your time zone settings were
changed after you made the events.
