Office 2003 macro security settings via GPO?
Is there a way, hopefully via GPO, that for Word and Excel 2003 I can force
two checkboxes to be checked in everyone's Macro Security? The two boxes are "Trust all installed add-ins and templates" and "Trust access to Visual Basic Project". |

Office 2003 macro security settings via GPO?
Hi Rich, Glad to see you here. We can use Office 2003 administrative templates to deploy the Macro settings: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...720-edc2-479b- b115-5abb70b3f490&displaylang=en You will find these settings after having added the adm file (excel11.adm / word11.adm): "User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Office Excel 2003 \ Tools\ Macro \ Security..." From Office 2003 Group Policies.xls, we can know: Trust all installed add-ins and templates Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Secu rity DontTrustInstalledFiles 0 | 1 Checked: Run macros, installed COM addins and SmartTags based on the security level only. Unchecked: Run any macro installed via the add-in manager (signed or unsigned) regardless of the security level. Trust access to Visual Basic Project Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Opti ons AccessVBOM 1 | 0 Allows/Disallows code to access the VBA object model. There are also machine based settings for these 2 policies which are located under: "Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Office 2003 \ Security Settings" Hope this helps. If you have any concerns, feel free to let us know.
