How do I name a document when generated?
We use a programme for generating Word documents. It populates template files
and then generates all documents in Word. When the documents are generated, they are named Doc1, Doc2, etc. We can generate up to 100 documents at a time which makes it very time-consuming trawling through all documents to find the one you want. The template files all have distinctive names. Is it possible to have the Word files generated with names derived from the templates so that we can more easily identify them? |

How do I name a document when generated?
Hi ScrabbleClare,
It sounds like that's an issue with whatever software you're using to create the documents. In many organisations, documents are indexed by number as it's too difficult to Work with meaningful names. They then use another document or database to describe and link to the indexed documents. -- Cheers macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "ScrabbleClare" wrote in message ...
