Default Autoconnect stopped working

When trying to connect a Generalization arrow between two classes in a Visio
2007 UML Static Structure class diagram, the arrow refuses to autoconnect (or
glue) to the class. It was working, and then just stopped! I haven't changed
any properties and I'm really hoping my VSD file is not somehow corrupt.

I have checked the setting in Tools|Options|General|Enable Autoconnect is
ticked.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it as I'm pulling what little hair
I have left out.

Many thanks in advance

Default Autoconnect stopped working

Hello,

Is the AutoConnect button on the Standard toolbar depressed (ie does it have
an orange background)?

Best regards

John

Hi John, thanks for your answer...
It wasn't, but I did find the solution to the problem. Under the Tools menu
there's a Snap & Glue section. In the dialog panel that opens the Snap was
ticked but the Glue was unticked.
God knows how it became unticked, 'cos I sure didn't untick it! Something
must have corrupted the document because the problem happened whilst editing
the document.

F9 and shift-F9 toggle the Glue and Snap settings.
