3 Beep Important Message Alert

Running Outlook 2003 on XP. When an important message
comes in, windows plays 3 system-type beeps. Any idea
how to turn this off? Seems to be separate for "desktop
alert" settings and other "play a sound when message
arrives" settings.

Check your rules and also the sounds and multimedia icon in control panel.

This seems to be totally independent of any of those=20
settings. That's why I can't figure out where it is=20
coming from.
