Toolbars & sharing/Copying normal.dot
Using Word2002.
On a network I make changes to normal.dot and standard.dot (a startup template - in the startup folder) and then copy these to the correct locations on the various workstations. This has worked fine over the last 6 or so months. I now find that the changes are not being carried over at the workstations. For instance I added a couple of icons to the standard toolbar and then removed them and wound up putting them back. On the workstation I performed these changes on (Win 2000 Pro) all appears correct. When I copy the templates onto the workstation (Win 98) the icons are appearing twice on the toolbar. This has not happened before - why it is happening now? I have fiddled about for hours - please advise what I am doing wrong. |

Toolbars & sharing/Copying normal.dot
OK - I just looked again for the hundredth time and discovered that the
workstation had a second startup template in it that I had renamed but had not removed the .dot extension - so it was duplicating my toolbar icons. Sorry for the bother "Rita King" wrote in message ... Using Word2002.
