Default Printing to scale

When I print scale drawings (building plans etc.) the printed copy is not
accurate - for example at a scale of 1:50 a dimension of 8.80 metres scales
8.20 metres when printed. Help please

Do you have File / Page Setup... set to Fit To 1 x 1 ?

Thanks for trying - it was set to 1 x 1.
