Default Y-labeling issue

When I create a bar chart having weekdays/dates along the Y-axis. only every
other labels is displayed (i.e., Mon, Wed, Fri). I changed the Axis to
Category, rotated the text, changed the format to m/d, chose the days both
individually and as a range. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions about how
to get this to work?

Try selecting the axis labels by clicking on one of them to select them and
then right clicking on it and select format axis.

In xl2002 select Scale tab and set Number of categories between tick mark
lables to 1. (I think it is the same or similar for xl2003)

In xl2007 under Axis options Specify interval unit 1.

You might need a bit mor infor than in my first post.

On xl 2002 set both the number of categories between tick mark labels and
number of categories between tick marks.

Similar on xl2007, Interval between tick marks and specify interval unit.

OssieMac

I check those and both of them are already set to 1.

My only other suggestion is that the chart might be too small to accommodate
all the labels. You can test this by enlarging the chart.

That did not work. I just realized that I titled this Y-labeling. It should
be the X axis. I do not know if this makes any difference but . . .

There may be a 1 in the box, but there is a hidden (inaccessible to the
user) auto setting that you can only change by deleting the 1 that is
present, typing your own 1, and clicking OK.

By the way, this is not the Y axis but the X axis. In a horizontal bar
chart, the vertical axis is the independent variable.
