Default Slide hesitation

Advancing manually through the slides in slideshow in PP2000, two or three slides always hesitate several seconds. There is no animation, and it occurs whether using the mouse or the keyboard. Please help.

It all depends what is on the slide. If they happen to be graphic intensive,
could (depending on memory and the speed of your machine) hesitate while
loading. have you tried running the slide show twice to see if it happens.
PowerPoint caches the first time through, and will probably run a little quicker
the second time.

I have tried running it more than once, and it makes no difference. The slides are a bit graphics intensive, but no more so than any of the other slides in the presentation. Yet the hesitation is always on the same slides and for the same amount of time. Thanks for your imput, though.

Colleen,

This slight delay....is this when you are just "flicking" through the slides, or during a real presentation.

As during a real presentation, powerpoint will probably have enough time to get the next slide ready.

Your best bet is to simplify the graphics. If they are pictures/scans/digital camera pictures then see

As the less powerpoint has to do the better.
