tables won't split over pages
i've got a 3 colum table, however it won't split across
the page. it just takes up the whole page and text disappears off the bottom. i've ensure that i've selected each row and checked the allow row to break across pages checkbox. any suggestions? |

Is your table inside a frame or a text box? A frame or text box will
prevent the table from splitting. nikki wrote: i've got a 3 colum table, however it won't split across the page. it just takes up the whole page and text disappears off the bottom. i've ensure that i've selected each row and checked the allow row to break across pages checkbox. any suggestions? |

Another possible reason why the table wouldn't move to the following
page is if the table is formatted to allow text wrap (available in Word 2000 and later). Display the Table Properties dialog box (with the cursor in the table, click Table Properties on the Table menu), click the Table tab, make sure "Text wrapping" is set to "None", and then click OK. -- Stefan Blom "garfield-n-odie" skrev i meddelandet ... In my previous reply, "move" should be substituted with "expand". In
other words: Another possible reason why the table wouldn't expand to the following page is if the table is formatted to allow text wrap (available in Word 2000 and later). Working on the same problem, I cannot find Text Wrapping
under the Table tab in my Word 2002-- but I have solved the problem by finding that "Specify Height" was set under the Row tab. With that unchecked, the row breaks properly across the page.
