We recently created a ppt pres on win xp/off xp and buned it to a cd. It works well on all machines in our company, however the company we shipped to, unknown config at this point, receives a no text converter error message when they try and open it. The file is read-only. All help/suggestions are much appreciated.

Cheers

Dave,

The file is read-only.

It can become a read only file the moment it's put on the a CD-ROM (Read Only Memory)

My guess is that somewhere in the ppt pres is an object that was pasted on to a slide. This object needs the text
convertor for it to display the object.

If the object (it probably looks like a block of text/diagram/similar) was un-grouped (i.e. converted to powerpoint
objects) then this problem would go away.

Cheers
