Error message during setup
I bought Microsoft Office Pro 2007. I have the installation disk and product
key, but halfway through the installation process it stops and says missing "ProPlusr.WW\Office64WW.msi." I can't find anything on the support site. Any ideas? please reply to Thank you, Bill |

Did you have a Trial version of Office 2007 Pro Plus installed before. Pro Plus is a
VL version. The fact that the installation is looking for the Pro Plus suggests that you had that installed at one time. Your best bet is to uninstall all Office including the Activation Assistant for both Office 2007 Pro and Plus that you find in the Add\Remove or use the following link as per below and then after attempt the Office 2007 Pro installation again http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179 -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Hi Peter,
There is no previous copy of Office 2007 showing in the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs list. (Is this the Activation Assistant you are referring to in your note below?) Due to virus damage, I have reinstalled everything on this laptop; XP, Service Pack 2.0, etc. and now I am trying to reinstall MS Office. Hi Peter,
You wrote: Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. How do I reply to the Newsgroup, since I still have this issue, or is there a phone number I can call to engage Microsoft, without paying their per-call fee? Please advise, thanks, Bill "Peter Foldes" wrote: Did you have a Trial version of Office 2007 Pro Plus installed before. Pro Plus is a VL version.
